Before 99 your team record didnt even matter as long as you put up outstanding numbers. Thats what Shaq said. Kobe deserves MVP hands down. Everybody knows he has been jewed the last 2 years. The guy is breaking records no one has touched in almost 30 years. I guess the MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS didnt set those records either. One.
Everybody who knows how it works, knows he hasn't been jewed in the last 2 years..

And thanks Mex, I'm not hating on Kobe or anything (this time at least), but that's just how it is..

No, he hasn't been jewed, he deserves to come in 3rd/4th in the voting because he's not getting his team to an elite status. Kobe is not an MVP until the Lakers finish in the top 4 in the West, which certainly won't happen this year....

How does one go about being "jewed"?

Anywho - my 2 cents on MVP - if your team can't win, I can't see how you are valuable to anybody other than your opponents.

i chose Penny Hardaway for 6th man, but i change my mind and say Grant Hill. he ought to be able to play well of the bench.

Well if they start Barbosa then they really don't have a good backup PG, and Hill is better than Bell, so.....

Ok, after research and change in recent events, I change my prediction for MIP to SG Kelenna Azubuike. Never heard of him? Just watch basketball and his name will be heard.

Was a undrafted rookie last year from Kentucky. Great player. Last year he averaged 7.1 ppg in 41 games and 9 starts. Was always a good player playing behind Monta Ellis and Jason Richardson. Nelson said he will most likely start this year and so far in preseason, he has not disappointed. Nellie says he is one of the best performers in camp so far.

I am not being biased at all. I looked at many other players and he is the best choice in my opinion. He is VERY built and has a built similar to corey maggette. Great shooter who can shoot from anywhere on the field, great rebounder for his size, and knows how to get the the basket. Keep an eye on him! IBA has an article on him saying how scouts were blind not to see his game and how he should have been a top 10 pick last year. Yes I am a little hyped up, but I am truly not being biased.

i'm not saying SoM is wrong, but there is definitely bias in everyone's opinion. Azubuike isn't as good as SoM makes him sound, but he's alright.

But he's probably not even going to start, let alone be an MVP candidate...

Buike will most likely start. Nellie has already confirmed Ellis is coming off the bench as the 6th man. So its between rookie Belinelli or Buike and Buike is way ahead in that race so far.

I gave you a warning for name calling. Hopefully I don't have to see that again. People have opinions, if you disagree, so be it. At least respect another person's opinion...

Kelenna isn't going to start. Whether they go bigger and start Jackson at the 2, Barnes, Harrington, and Biedrins in the frontcourt, or they start Pietrus or even Belinelli. All those are better than starting an unproven sophomore player who both of you are overhyping very much...
