The Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves tried to initiate a trade that would send Ricky Rubio to the Bucks, but were unable to reach an agreement, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Rubio has reportedly been dangled as possible trade bait as Thursday's deadline approaches, but no team has been able to offer the Timberwolves an enticing enough package. The Bucks reportedly made a last-ditch effort, but it was once again for naught.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Jason Kidd had a piqued interest in Rubio, but the Bucks didn't have enough tools or were unable to part with their own stars to acquire the Spaniard.

Surprising to see the Bucks go after Rubio.

They still didn't prioritize shooting.

But knowing Jason Kidd, he knew Rubio was the true second coming of himself, not MCW.

Defense - Yes. Passing - Yes. Shooting - No.

Jason Kidd 2.0. I believe Kidd can also help him improve his shooting just like what he did to himself.

If true then hell no to Parker-Giannis but I'd have seriously considered Middleton
