Yeah. My guess is because he is a legend here, we will just let him expire in the offseason. The respect route.

But he essentially lost his job already with this. IMO.

better to do it now then prolong it

And firing a GM usually doesn't happen mid season, Grant was an exception
I don't think this is necessarily true. Nothing is going to change. I don't know who Loyer is, but I do know it's too late in the season for him to really put his own stamp on this team. He'll be able to put little small wrinkles here and there, maybe tink with lineups, but I doubt things improve all that much. They should have saved themselves from looking like asses and just let Cheeks play out the season.

Not a fan of Hollins either. He hates anything that resembles a stat and players grow tired of him

Based on what? Taking a team with an 8th seed's talent and advancing to the WCF, last year?

They've made two playoff runs fueled by higher seed injuries.

Based on the fact that the Grizzlies didn't want him back even after they won 56 games, and he couldn't find a job after the fact?

I think he's fine for a young team to teach hard nosed discipline to, knowing that you're going to fire him after 3 years and the new guy you bring in is going to look like a saint to those players, who will still have some of those hard nosed principles in them.

gores is trying to get jackson again. id offer him team control and then hire a coach. kicking out dumars for jackson would be the best start.

if gores wants him, he needs to offer him the front office, and complete control.

Would be cool to have him as as GM. Don't see why he wouldn't consider it.

0 chance he coaches though.
