Scottie Pippen suggested, on ESPN Radio’s Mike And Mike In the Morning, that LeBron James, and not his former teammate, Michael Jordan, could end up being the greatest all-around player the league has ever seen.

“Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play in the game, but I may go as far to say LeBron James is probably the greatest player to ever play the game,” Pippen said.

“Not only can he score at will, but he keeps everybody involved. You have to be on your Ps and Qs because everybody is a threat to score when he’s on the floor. Not only that, LeBron James will dominate the game on the offensive end and he’s able to do it on the defensive end as well. He can get in those passing lanes and dominate the game.”

Pippen forgot who made him into the player he is today and why he he, himself has rings lmao.

LeBron has more 'talent' then MJ, but MJ was/is better.

But I will add this..talent wise LeBron can hold his own with any player from any era. Majority of us dont like em and Cheat hates him. But we all know we're watching one of the greatest talents the league will ever see.

It's not about 1 on 1...if so Pete Maravich would probably be the best guard of all time.

Yes I believe Michael Jordan would beat LeBron james in a one on one game.

It has no merit on the convo..but Michael had a better post game and was a more efficent scorer. And was just as good as a defender as bron.

Scottie, Scottie, Scottie...

Can't believe you would say this, I know you were sitting courtside, but you're living in the moment man...

I wonder what Michael has to say about this.

It's weird how Pippen constantly does this yet him and Mike are still friends lol. LeBron is obviously great, one of the greatest of all time but better then MJ? Nope.

Why is everyone acting like this is shocking news? lol.
LeBron probably won't go down as the best to ever play, cause of the legacy Michael left.
But talent wise and what not, I find it hard disagreeing with what Scottie said.
League is much more talented these days too IMO. I truly think if you put LeBron back in the 80's, he absolutely runs the league, even harder than Jordan did.

With the way technology and what has advanced, in terms with working out. Players now are 10x more athletic, stronger, faster, etc.

That has nothing to do with the caliber of players mike was going against. I don's see how you can honestly think that.

In MJ's prime he had to deal with all of these guys..Magic, Bird, Nique, Isiah, Barkley, Moses Malone, Young Shaq, Penny, Hakeem, Clyde, Gary Payton, Kemp, Stockton and Malone. Although I will add that I think the point guard position is at a all time high when it comes to talent these days.

And then since I think the heat will win the title..look at bron's numbers this playoffs and look at MJ's his first title run

Mike averaged 31.2 points on 56% shooting, 11.4 assists, 6.6 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 1.4 blocks on route to his first NBA Finals MVP Award.

Isn't even close

Statistically, MJ is going to win every time.
LeBron going to Miami killed his legacy. There is no doubting that.
He will not go down as the best ever solely because of that.

I think people need to stop getting hardon for Michael cause dude played when we weren't even born and shit, and just cause we watch his game films he is some sort of patron saint that can't be fucked with because that is how everyone perceived him. You ask my dad who the best ever was, he doesn't even say MJ.

Ultimately though, I don't think the two can be compared. It's apples to oranges.
