@DNFlyers:

Flyers have fired Peter Laviolette, per a source. Replacing him with Craig Berube. Press conference at 11am.

@drosennhl:

Flyers have called a press conference for 11 a.m. Peter Luukko and Paul Holmgren will be in attendance. That's all the press release says.

Wow that was fucking quick!

There are problems all-around for the Flyers, but I guess it was time to move on with the Peter Lavs experiment.

Their top line hasn't gotten a point this season so far.

This goes back to the Torts thing, good players that are not playing up to par. That is on the coach.

Oh yeah, and management:

@DarrenDreger:

Fired 3 games in is harsh, but, not surprising based on tension Flyers management has been feeling. Now Holmgren has to be in crosshairs.

Last I checked, Lavy wasn't the one who blew up the "core" to massively overpay a goalie, and then buyout said goalie when he's not worth it.

If you want to fire the coach, do it, but don't put all the blame on him when his GM is borderline incompetent.

Yep, I agree there. I think this was the way to start it though, I think they were thinking of getting rid of Lavs last year too.

Wish the Sabres would have waited on a coach. I liked Lindy, but we missed out on Torts and now Laviolette. I'd take either one of them over Rolston. We need a fiery guy.
