Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2h

New Orleans has shown strong interest in acquiring Rockets center Omer Asik, w/ an offer likely centered on Ryan Anderson, sources tell Y!

No question Ryan Anderson would intrigue the Rockets, but Pelicans may resist moving him without more than Asik in return, sources tell Y!

Anderson is better than Asik but Asik is a wonderful fit with Davis.

That's my issue.

You can't put a better C next to AD than Asik, but I love Ryan.

And I think I have a crush on his gf.

And if the Rockets could get Anderson, shut it down, lets go home.

Did any of you watch Asik this year? What, exactly, is Anderson better than him at aside from scoring? As an overall player, I think Asik has the edge, and the Pels get better immediately.

Damn. Barring injury (lolGordon), that's a 6-8 seed, imo.

Asik limits what you can do offensively, and makes it almost necessary to have a big next to him who can extend the defense, making it hard to pair guys with him and forces your hand a lot.

Anderson is more versatile, and easier to plug into lineups.

Having versatility with lineups and players is a necessity

Lakers suck (last years 8 seed)
Utah sucks
Dallas sucks
Portland, Minnesota, Sacramento suck

They will be a 7 or an 8 seed, without a doubt. Too many teams tanking

you should know that Anderson+Harden+Lin+Parsons on the perimeter as a kick out option for Dwight is lethal

Have it on strong authority Pelicans not only haven't talked to Rockets about Asik sign-and-trade but likewise have no interest in him

Does everybody here buy into the new small-ball NBA? I think it's a shame that the traditional big is disappearing, along with post game.

Well Asik has no post game either so there's that. He's just big

He's an excellent defender and rebounder and is plenty good at cleaning up after missed shots. He did average double figure points. It's not like he was completely helpless.

He'd be awful defending the 4, plain AWFUL.

He is worthless as a 4, simply put
