Expirings aren't that valuable this season because nearly every team has one.
Jerryd just wasn't playing good ball and Monty and Dell are willing to admit to their mistakes.
In return we got a better backup PG in Jarrett Jack, and then two trade pieces that I'm hearing will lead to another deal.
Plus we got a large chunk of that trade exception from Toronto, which is very nice for the Hornets.
Oh, and do I even have to mention that this deal gets us 4 million under the tax, which is huge?
I guess what I'm trying to say is this deal gives us a better backup to CP, but it also helps us in the future with the cap and future trades with Banks, Andersen, and the trade exception.
