I thought the same thing. Isn't it the exact same injury?
yea. it'd be even more crazy if it was the same knee.

As Ricky from Trailer Park Boys once said, "what comes around is all around."

Unfortunately for Pat, an injury like this can actually end his career. Westbrook was coming back--we all knew that--but Pat could actually be done. Maybe this will give him some perspective. At the same time, I firmly believe he's apologized to Russ, under the radar. Public apologies are some of the most insincere things on the planet, anyway.

Either way, unless Pat can play in round one, Houston is fucked. Jeremy Lin sucks. Their defense will be nonexistent.

For the record, Beverly is not the difference between winning and losing a playoff series Bware.

He is maybe their 5th best player, maybe. If you can't win a playoff series with him out, you're not a contender.

They can win without him, but they need to be perfect

Bev's defense vs the deepest position in the west matters

Which is why it's awesome. Elite PGs get away with enough bullshit that it more than balances itself out.

Not even worth the time it takes to type to get in an argument about stars and below average hustle players, because 10 times out of 10 you hate the star and worship the role player, and don't even attempt to hide the bias

I like team players, and the NBA has become far too much of an individual league. Stars dictate way too much, especially when it comes to trades. The best thing that could happen to the NBA is if coaches and franchises did the SAS thing and took control of what happens out of the players hands, entirely.

Now, if a Spurs player knew he was going to be traded, I bet the FO would listen to him, but neither that player nor the FO would leak it to the media. The team concept is underrated in the NBA and egos are too big. Hating star players is far easier in the NBA than it is in any sport.

I hate cocky MMA fighters like Ronda Rousey and pre-fight Diego Sanchez much MUCH less than I hate certain NBA stars. It's just easy, because they make it easy.
