Papa John's CEO John Schnatter blasted the NFL during a conference call to discuss 3rd quarter earnings... or lack there of. Schnatter threw many of his eggs into the NFL basket a couple years ago and its not paying off.
Papa John's stock is down almost $7 and their sales targets aren't meeting expectations. Schnatter blames the league's issue with anthem protests, declining ratings, and failure to "keep small kitchen fire from engulfing the whole house". They are pulling ads and will begin to distance the company from the league.
If it keeps Peyton Manning off my TV, I'm okay with it. Rage on Papa John.
