Pablo to the DL...??

A sudden "shoulder strain" sends to Pablo to the 15-day DL. How does one hurt shoulder on the bench...and why has this shoulder injury not been mentioned by Farrell before today? Jeff Passan's column indicates there's increasingly bad blood between Panda and the team. How does this end? Seems like the Red Sox are destined to buy out of this awful contract as soon as it's financially feasible.

What did poor Pablo do? Strain himself by eating hot dogs? Alright, I'm bad, but seriously... the DL stint is simply an excuse for not starting the 20 million dollar player. He's not really injured.

Red Sox insider Ben Buchanan who writes for @OverTheMonster is speculating that Sox are willing to eat more than 1/2 of Pablo Sandoval's AND Rusney Castillo's owed money and package them along with any prospect not named Moancada, Espinosa, or Beintindi for a SP with less than $17mm AAV and contract thru 2018.

Now we're hearing everything from an ex-trainer claiming he had to hide Pablo from the Giants while he was putting him through crash court diet...to the Giants blocked room service from Panda's room so he wouldn't overeat.

Some fine due diligence from Cherington before making that signing.

This was a terrible signing from the get go. Now with all this information coming out and it looks even worse. You would think a bit of evaluation would go into a $95 million investment
