Overrated versus Underrated

Who is your overrated and underrated players?

I think Bryce Harper is overrated, but not as much as he was in the past. He's starting to hit more the last three years, but he does so with far more hype than is needed. Manny Machado is also overrated. While he is raking this year, he hasn't hit higher than .300 prior seasons.

One of the most underrated players is Nick Markakis. The guy has been consistently good year in and year out and he has yet to go to an All-Star game, or be recognized for being an exceptional batter.

I dont think Harper is overrated. His bad seasons have generally been because of injuries. When healthy hes ine of the best.

Definitely agree with Markakis. Always been a solid player.

Markakis is a very solid guy, but hes no star. Hes a good contact guy, has a good eye, and at least in Baltimore played a great right field. His power numbers took a huge dip towards the end of his tenure in Baltimore though. Looks like hes picked them up this year so far but its early but yeah having a great year so far.

He might not be a top star but it's surprising he hasn't had one All_Star appearance in all of his career, especially with the numbers he puts up consistently.
