Harper going back into obscurity again
Last night on Smackdown, the New Day defeated the Bludgeon Brothers to win the tag-team championships. Rowan entered the match with a torn biceps but competed hard anyway. He will have surgery next week and is expected to be out for 2-4 months.
Following the match, both Harper and Smackdown creative head, Road Dogg, offered praise for the man who worked the main event match while injured.
Neville No Longer Under WWE Contract
Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned former Cruiserweight Champion Neville is no longer under contract with WWE.
While details are scarce, a source with direct knowledge of the situation has now confirmed Neville — formerly known as PAC — is not tied down to a WWE deal as of this moment.
No word on when WWE parted ways with the wrestler, therefore it’s unclear if he’s still under a no compete clause.
As we previously reported, the 32-year-old wrestler walked out on WWE in October 2017 and he’s been radio silent since vanishing from the company.
Earlier this week … Cody Rhodes tweeted saying he missed Neville. Matt Jackson replied saying, “Me too. I talked to him the other day. He’s good.”
Stay tuned.
As we’ve been reporting, his future as an active wrestler are in question. A long career of putting his body on the line may have finally caught up with the talented performer. In recent weeks, Matt Hardy has begun working behind the scenes as a producer/agent.

After the final, Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt embraced in the ring and received a standing ovation from the live crowd.

WWE Announces SummerSlam 2019 Location
SummerSlam is coming to the 6 in 2019.
The WWE has reportedly found a new home for their annual SummerSlam PPV, which has been held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn ever since the 2015 event. As first reported by ET Canada and later confirmed by the WWE, the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto will host all four nights of WWE programming in August of 2019.
Those events include the following dates:
In addition to those four events, an Axxess fan festival will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre during the lead up to four-day event. The last time the WWE held SummerSlam in Toronto was back in 2004, according to Cageside Seats.
- NXT TakeOver: Saturday, August 10
- SummerSlam: Sunday, August 11
- Monday Night Raw: Monday, August 12
- SmackDown Live: Tuesday, August 13
From 1988, when SummerSlam was first introduced at Madison Square Garden in NYC, to 2008, WWE switched up the venue every year. The PPV was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles from 2009-2014. Since then, the Barclays Center has been the official home of SummerSlam as well as the NXT Takeover event that showcases the company's up and coming talent that isn't on the main roster yet.
The next WWE PPV on the calendar is "Hell In A Cell," which will take place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, September 16.
