Nope they pretty much mentioned it. Dolph tried to downplay the question when they asked him about it.

How are they explaining this in the storyline though? That the whole thing was a ruse?

I'd imagine they would've wanted Rusev and Lana to come out as the faces in this but right now Rusev just looks like a scumbag and Lana is out

Pretty much seems like Dolph might be moving on like he says and start a brief fued with Cena and as for Rusev it looks like he will be fueding with Summer Rae and whoever the hell she might pick as her new man unless its Dolph since they have a story about those earrings.

There isn't a lot they can do about it. When they created the stupid story line of Rusev/Lana splitting and featuring it for months, something like this was bound to happen. Just gotta take their L and move on
