Speculation on Sheamus “Cashing In” at Sunday’s Night of Champions
eBryan Alvarez speculated on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live that Sheamus may be nearing the cashing in of his “Money in the Bank” briefcase soon, as early as Sunday’s Night of Champions event.
Alvarez would go on to point out that history shows that a majority of the WWE Superstars would go on a big losing streak prior to them cashing in their briefcases. Sheamus was pinned in the main event at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings, RAW on Monday and several other dates recently.
One scenario Bryan presented was Sheamus would cash in either after Sting wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Sunday, or wait until the following Monday on RAW. That is if Sting actually wins the title in his match against Seth Rollins.
As previously reported, Sheamus was rumored to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion sometime this year. Alvarez says if that does in fact happen, he couldn’t imagine Sheamus being a long-term champion.
Kane is backstage for tonight's WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view in Houston, Texas.
No word yet on if Kane will be returning to TV tonight but it's been speculated. Kane has been away from WWE TV since leaving to film WWE Studios' "6:42" in July. Apparently plans for him to return have already been pushed back once this summer.
