WWE recently removed Daniel Bryan from their event listings on WWE.com for tonights Extreme Rules event, tomorrows RAW in Green Bay, WI and Tuesdays SmackDown taping in Moline, IL. The Intercontinental Champion still remains listed for this weekends live events in New York and Canada.

While it appears that Bryan will not be defending his Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules tonight, his match is still listed in the Extreme Rules micro-site on WWE.com.

As noted earlier, PWInsider reported that Daniel Bryan was not in Chicago this morning for tonights event.

won't happen but an extreme rules battle royal for the #1 contender or call the winner the interim champion would be sweet. have them then wrestle when he comes back or have someone start calling themselves the real intercontinental champion.

an interim champion is what we need. have them talk up bryans injury and how he can't be a reliable champion and theyre the real champion. it'd be almost too perfect.
