Reason Why 'A New Day' Was Delayed
- A source told Wrestling Inc that the reason the "A New Day" faction featuring Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E was delayed was due to both the Ferguson, Missouri situation being all over the news, as well as Alberto Del Rio's controversial exit from the company. WWE felt as if having something that could be construed as a racially motivated story line was inappropriate and wasn't in anyone's best interest at the time.
The source also stated that there was "more than meets the eye" to the recent vignettes, but refused to elaborate further.

Reason Why Vince McMahon Wants to Drop the “Authority Figure” Storyline
After John Cena rejected The Authority’s offer to join them on the Oct. 27 Raw, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon responded with a challenge, daring the 15-time world champion to assemble a team to face their hand-chosen squad in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match on Nov. 23. On the following week’s show, Vince McMahon announced that if Team Authority loses at Survivor Series, The Authority will be ousted from power. Triple H somewhat evened the playing field on the final SmackDown before Survivor Series, promising to fire the members of Team Cena if Team Authority wins.
It very much appears that The Authority will come up on the losing end of the match. Behind-the-scenes, Vince McMahon wants to remove the power couple from television for the time being and the WWE Network is a major factor in this.
Vince is strongly considering bringing his Mr. McMahon character back to television to help promote the WWE Network, which as a result, would take away The Authority’s absolute on-screen power. Due to his advanced age (he is now 69-years-old), he would prefer not to appear on television on a regular basis, but feels if he was pushing the video streaming service every week, subscriber numbers, which have been lackluster thus far, would be higher.
Team Cena consists of John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Erick Rowan and Ryback while Team Authority features Seth Rollins, Kane, Mark Henry, Rusev and Luke Harper.
Seth Rollins Pissed Off Over Brock Lesnar Not Being Around
Seth Rollins spoke with The Miami Herald recently while promoting tonight’s Survivor Series event. Here are some highlights:
Brock Lesnar not being around as champion: “I think it’s bull crap, I don’t appreciate it one bit. I’m sitting here with this contract biding my time. I want to be the WWE world heavyweight champion now. I don’t want to wait around to when he decides it’s cool to show up. He has said it before. He is this mercenary. He is basically a guy you pay as much as he wants and he comes and works for you. I’m not a fan of that. I think there is no honor in that.”
Papa Pugzo said:meh. that's him in character. im sure everyone is a little upset the champion isn't there but it's also helping guys get a little more spotlight.
