Rumors floating around right now is that Sheamus is basically just a transitional champion right now. WWE wanted to take the US belt off of Dean Ambrose, so the battle royal on Monday Night Raw was thrown together. The belief is that Sheamus will be dropping the belt to a heel performer, possibly Antonio Cesaro or Alexander Rusev in the near future.
