The report continuesCM Punk is now being sued by Colt Cabana
CM Punk and Colt Cabana may have won their legal battle during Dr. Chris Amman’s defamation lawsuit but now their friendship looks to be lost for good.
Two months ago Punk and Cabana were on the same side during a six day long trial where the defamation suit leveled by Amman was found in their favor. Stemming from a Nov. 2014 episode of The Art of Wrestling podcast, if Punk and Cabana lost the lawsuit the pair of wrestlers would have been on the hook for nearly $4 million dollars.
Punk and Cabana won the defamation case versus Amman but it now appears the former friends are locked in a lawsuit against each other.
A new report with court documents obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times explains how Cabana and Punk are now at opposite ends of a lawsuit involving a lot of money.
“Cabana’s lawsuit contends Punk promised to help him out with the legal bills they amassed fighting the defamation lawsuit. Cabana claims Punk told him in a text that he would be “100% covered.”
Punk has failed to keep that promise, leaving him with unpaid legal bills totaling $513,736, according to the lawsuit.
Punk asked Cabana to pay half of the legal fees, which comes out to $256,868, saying “You are on your own.”
Reason Jason Jordan’s Return From Injury Has Been Delayed
WWE fans have been wondering where is Jason Jordan and what is preventing him from returning to WWE television.
The former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion been out of action since early 2018 due to a neck issue and was last seen on TV when Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle sent him home until he was healthy enough to compete. He was on the road for the company back in July with Goldust, WWE NXT Superstar Dan Matha and others as they had been representing WWE at the 2018 Special Olympic USA Games.
The original belief at that time was that he would be returning to in-ring action under the WWE banner last month but now a new report suggests different as Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jordan has been dealing with another setback. The longtime pro wrestling journalist wrote the following:
“Jordan’s neck injury situation after surgery is worse than expected. He’s not returning at the present time.”
As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what the company has planned for Jordan on television whether that be with his storyline involving Seth Rollins or the “father and son” storyline with Angle.
