I'd think Vince would have him on the Main roster.

WWE Reportedly Interested In Eli Drake

Eli Drake’s future with IMPACT Wrestling remains unclear. So much so that Drake is currently not advertised for IMPACT’s Slammiversary pay-per-view (PPV) in Toronto. Wrestling Observer Newsletter‘s Dave Meltzer reports that Drake’s deal expired this past weekend, but he still worked IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings to lose a match.

Both Drake and IMPACT continue to discuss a new deal but nothing has been signed as of this writing. As for a return to WWE, Meltzer confirms that there has been talk within the company about bringing Drake back.

Drake signed with WWE back in 2013 to a developmental deal but was released in August of 2014. He then went on to sign with IMPACT the following spring. In April, Drake did an interview with The Mirror, and discussed where he sees himself in the future:

“It really depends. I am looking at all my options. I am very grateful for the opportunities Impact have given me and putting me on the stage they have put me on. I also have grown my bank account enormously! I’m doing well on that front. So I’m very grateful for it,” Drake said.

“But at the same time, I am a businessman, I am going to look into any opportunities that are afforded to me and anybody who wants to talk and wants to throw numbers my way and anything like that, of course I am open to that. Will I stay with Impact? That’s a definite possibility. It could be a likelihood, I really don’t know. It really depends on what else is out there. But I am interested in any opportunity that comes my way, that’s for sure.”

If you would of seen Corey Graves tweets from last night after the Punk fight you would think he was a scorned lover lol.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful JUST got an exclusive interview from Corey Graves. Graves explains his rant on CM Punk:

There was a rumor that Punk told many of his WWE friends "LEAVE WWE or lose me as a friend forever" the interview Graves just did with Sean Ross Sapp confirms it:

"Well, to be honest, I’d never heard or been given that ultimatum," said Graves. "It kinda shocked me when I texted him about grabbing dinner because we were in Chicago and he told me he no longer had any interest in being friends with me or anybody related to WWE."

"I respected his drive, and him doing his own thing," said Graves. "He sent me the text shortly before his first fight. Part of me just thought he was in a zone and I didn’t take offense. I texted him the day of his FIRST fight something along the lines of “I know life is nuts, I still love you good luck” Probably not verbatim, but you get the idea."

"What really set me off was this week when he essentially disowned the business that made him," Graves said. "My only issue with him was that he turned off people that actually loved and supported him. Beyond “the business” and he never wanted anything to do with us...yet continued to present himself as this “Punk” hero."

Sean Ross Sapp then asked for a little clarification when Graves mentioned that he was set off 'this week.' Graves said that testimony, nor the result, inspired the tweet.

"Dude, this has ZERO to do with court, or testimony or any of the above. Nothing that I tweeted was corporate," said Graves. "I’m simply hurt/pissed off that a guy that I looked like as a big brother-type has turned his back on me and everyone that loved and supported him only because of the name on my paycheck. I’m definitely not the only one. I won’t name names, but there is a large group of us to this day that inexplicably lost a solid friend because of where we work."

According to the PWInsider, it appears that James Ellsworth looks to be returning to WWE soon. The site reports that there have been several recent creative pitches for Ellsworth to pop up in some capacity and they have confirmed that he is slated to be at the WWE Money in the Bank PPV in Chicago. The speculation is that he will get involved in Carmella vs. Asuka or even potentially the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match itself.
