Daniel Bryan will be going to WWE medical to attempt to be cleared in January. If by some miracle he can pass all their testing. Vince has given him his word that he will reinstate him back to the ring on a limited schedule IE: WWE's big events. They are giving him a sub story with Shane McMahon right now to leave it open ended so if he can wrestle at Wrestlemania he will face Shane McMahon for full leadership of Smackdown Live.
