Hope to see Ariya Daivari in the WWE someday. He can get some easy heel heat like his brother
Haven't been paying attention lately, so you're probably right here.Senators26 said:I can't imagine that being the case, that'd be an insane disadvantage to SD. It will probably go R S R S R R S R S R R S and so on
Hall of Famer Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka is among a number of retired wrestlers suing the WWE over claims the company hid the long-term effects of head and brain injuries.
The wrestlers allege the organization "placed corporate gain over its wrestlers' health, safety, and financial security, choosing to leave the plaintiffs severely injured and with no recourse to treat their damaged minds and bodies," reports Chris Dolmetsch from Bloomberg.
"Road Warrior Animal" Joseph Laurinaitis and "King Kong Bundy" Chris Pallies are among the other wrestlers in the suit that marks the latest litigation against a major sports and entertainment entity.
Unlike previous suits launched by former players in the NFL and NHL, the difference with the WWE is that matches involved specific moves the wrestlers claim are "scripted, controlled, directed, and choreographed" by the company. The moves led to the head injuries the plaintiffs claim to deal with on a daily basis.
"The WWE knows that its wrestlers including the plaintiffs are at great risk for these diseases such as CTE that can result in suicide, drug abuse, and violent behavior that pose a danger to not only the athletes themselves but their families and community, yet the WWE does nothing to warn, educate or provide treatment to them," the suit alleges.
Despite the claims, the WWE is confident in their defense and expects the suit to be dismissed.
"This is another ridiculous attempt by the same attorney who has previously filed class action lawsuits against WWE, both of which have been dismissed," the company said in a statement. "A federal judge has already found that this lawyer made patently false allegations about WWE, and this is more of the same."
