Now that i look at it the ref bump which Orton was in front of him was caused by Bryan and that dropkick. Which had him out for about 5 minutes soooo i guess this was his retaliation towards Orton?

Storytelling was pretty bad in the mainevent. Ref gets knocked out without any repercussions, comes back and makes a fast count that doesn't get acknowledged.

And that was a bit too soon for the face to overcome the odds. I can see HHH stripping him of the title and firing the ref on RAW.
