Why The Rock Was Kept Away from Roman Reigns, Vince McMahon Nixes WWE Title Match Plans
 
It was reported how there was talk of having a special referee in the Roman Reigns vs. Triple H WWE World Heavyweight Title Match at WrestleMania 32 but that obviously didn’t happen. Vince McMahon was behind the idea at one point but in the end he made the decision for no major interference, besides Stephanie McMahon, because he wanted Reigns to win the title without any help whatsoever.
 
Vince and Triple H were visibly at odds over the decision as Triple H had been pushing for Shawn Michaels to be the special referee. Apparently this is why Shawn was in exceptional physical shape as he had been preparing.
 
There had also been speculation, but no real internal talk, of The Rock possibly appearing with Reigns in some way at WrestleMania. Word is that The Rock’s business team had him kept away from his cousin due to the potential of heat from the fans.

According to backstage sources it appears the top people in WWE are quite surprised with how popular and fan favourite AJ Styles is after leaving NJPW for WWE

He continues to sell out of merchandise and is likely to over take Reigns in that department very soon

Things could be moving up for AJ as Vince has been seen glued to the TV monitor with a big smile when he watches him perform

According to PWTorch Seth Rollins should be returning at or around Money in the Bank. There are 2 rumored plans for Seth Rollins when he returns.

1. Rollins returns at/before the Money in the Bank PPV and will insert himself into the MITB Ladder Match and wins it for a 2nd time.

2. Seth Rollins returns at the Money in the Bank PPV and brings his own WWE World Title with him confronting the WWE Champion at Money in the Bank saying he's the rightful champion as he never "lost it".
