Kind of lucky that Paraguay goalie missed that punch.

The notorious slow starters... It's how we are. Regardless, that free kick they got was bull<Censored>. It was CLEARLY a hand ball on the Paraguay player and a very questionable foul on the Italian player.

Wow Germany completely tore Australia up! Aussies were playing pretty well, but Germanys passing attack is precise and efficient, man that was fun to watch. I think Italy vs. Paraguay will be 1-1 tie.
Like I said..... Italy looked really slow and lethargic. They need to improve if they want to go to the next round. Really miss Pirlo and you can see that.

Yeah they can't afford to be lethargic like that again.
Hopefully they come out with some urgency in the next game.

They opened up playing fine. They really did. I thought they played well, but in the attacking quarters they really didn't seem to have an answer. The forwards played like trash.

I really like that Pepe guy, he's a real solid player. The only thing I didn't get is why Di Natale wasn't a starter? But I am sure Lippi will start him next game. As for the slow start, everyone who watches Italy knows thats how we start. Our midfield look real sloppy. But once Pirlo comes back in a few games we should be all good.

I said at the beginning of the game that Iaquinta and Gilardino were a mistake together...especially with Iaquinta on the wing. He's a striker, he doesn't have the skill to play along the wing and make plays for another striker. As was clearly visible today. Hopefully, Lippi noticed today and one of Di Natale or Quagliarella are playing up with a striker.

This 2nd half has been more enjoyable to watch, the tempo has picked up and both sides are really starting to stretch the field.

Man Im starting to lose more and more respect for Ronaldo. He has flopped more in this World Cup than anyone else.

Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has a "serious" back problem and the team physician said Tuesday it's uncertain whether he'll be able to play again in the World Cup.
F^CK!

Because there havent been many players who can get a finishing touch. There were definitely some very close shots, but not enough. Closest was probably Ronaldos shot that hit the post from 35 yards out.

Brazil vs. North Korea at 2pm EST. Man I cant wait to watch Brazil, North Korea has no chance. If Americans want to see the best soccer played in the world, then definitely watch Brazil.
