Bitz is a good fit in Florida he'll be of more use to them than to the Bruins

I missed the Avs game yesterday because I had a party. I kept on checking the score and when I found out it was 7-3 I was so shocked. I came home and I found out that Stewart had a hat-trick. The first Avs hat-trick in over 200 games. Plus the Pepsi Center was full it has been so long since the last sell out. How could I have missed that? :headsmack:

<_< don't remind me

They should play Vladdy but I think Marchand could add a bit of a scoring touch.

and, shelly, Boychuk doesn't suck. He's may not be the best defensively but he's doesn't turn the puck a lot; at least not in vulnerable positions. I'd take that and his killer shot as my 5th or 6th defender any day of the week.

Marc Savard has a concussion, he lost consciousness and Claude julien said "he'll be out for a while." #Bruins
Just as I figured...let's see what the league does.

I heard Marchand's been dropping

in the Hockey News Prospects issue he dropped in the prospects ratings

Weird, cuz he's been on a pretty decent run in the minors. I think he needs some time to prove himself on the ice before you can really judge him. He was a nice spark in the beginning of the season with Berge and Ryder and then he kind of slowed down. He got injured down in Providence and hasn't had the chance to show himself back in Boston yet.

While I'm talking some Bruins minors, Zach Hamill may have finally found his scoring touch in the AHL lol. He's been on fire recently and enjoying a good sophomore season. It's still up in the air, though, as to whether or not he can hack it in the NHL.

Wings are finally starting to play pretty well. Beat the 'Hawks today.

Hopefully we can get up from the 8th spot, only 1 point behind Nashville.

What's been up with Brodeur lately? It seems like he doesn't trust himself all of a sudden.

This started a little before Kovalchuk came. He's been in struggle mode for some reason and I'm glad. Pens puttin that lead in front of New Jersey

And what did Cooke do that merits a suspension? If you look at other hits like that, they were on purpose or with intent to injure.

You're right, Cooke shouldn't be sitting. You really want to stop this? How about the Pens lose one of their top line centers? I mean, let's face it, suspending Cooke doesn't come remotely close to being a fair trade for losing Savard for an extended period of time. So, you tell me, what should the penalty be?

IDC who you are, what team you support, w/e it is, look at that hit and tell me that it is 100% clean (and I don't just mean "within the rules" which is how he got away with this hit anyway).

It's not gonna stop the hits and it certainly doesn't make any of us feel better. I see two things here:

1) Suspending Cooke isn't gonna miraculously heal our best player

2) I want that douche bag on the ice in 10 days so he can get his pansy ass handed to him by Shawn Thornton

He got his shoulder into it yes but no one would have thought that hit would have the effects on Savard the way it did

Crosby missed time this year already if it makes you feel better. And when he missed 2 months 2 years ago, Malkin stepped up tremendously. Maybe Bergeron can do that =)

No one would have thought? He's done it THREE TIMES (including to Savard) within the past CALENDER YEAR. Or does that info not reach the hole you're apparently living in?

I said it already that, in my opinion, Cooke wasn't looking to give Savard a concussion. But you're a fucking moron if you believe that the hit was all well and good. Cooke is a clown and he's made this hit before. Listen to anyone outside of Pittsburgh and they'll tell you they aren't surprised at how it went down.

And no, Crosby missing time this year doesn't make me feel any fucking better. Our best forward, playmaker, and arguably best player, suffered a grade 2 CONCUSSION, not some little scratch on his hand. And don't get fucking cute with the Malkin/Bergeron comment because that, actually, pisses me off more than it does comfort. Additionally, Bergeron is still not 100% the player he was before HIS concussion.

A sore subject in Boston? You better fucking believe it..
