How rare is it for fighters to jump around in weight classes?  Conor is going from featherweight to welterweight in three months, then I assume will fight at lightweight after this.
 
I know Penn was all over the place.

penn has fought at those three classes. normally its just two. usually lightweight and welterweight, and heavy and lightheavy.

once you fight two consecutive fights in one weight class your previous ranking goes away from your other class. im gonna love to hear danas take on this when conor takes two fights away from featherweight.

Most intriguing thing I see in this fight is the mental aspect.
 
Every opponent Conor has fought has folded mentally... even a 10-year champ Aldo was dead before he got in there. 
 
I think Diaz might be the first one to be able to disregard it though. He's different upstairs.

youre 100% right about the mental aspect too. thats an overlooked part of combat sports. you have to be tough mentally and i think diaz may be one of the toughest, definitely the toughest that Conor has faced. i dont think conor can get in his head at all

I don't think he can because Diaz won't even be conscious of it as a factor.
 
As cliche as it is, a fight really is just a fight for him. He'll be trying to punk McGregor as hard as McGregor will be him.

even diaz is bigger than him though. i think diaz may be the superior striker, conor just might pack more power. he's the smarter fighter too.

It's an interesting fight but I think ultimately it'll just be a matter of how much punishment Diaz will stick around for.
 
I'll actually be surprised if McGregor gets hit clean more than once.
