Umm, but we're not talking STATISTICALLY. If we were talking STATISTICALLY, Kareen Abdul-Jabbar would be the best player in NBA history...

Mike Hart might be more talented, but Mendenhall has been more productive this season...

Those announcers are dumb. Appalachian State beating Michigan was the biggest upset of the year, no doubt about it. This is possibly 2nd.

Mike Hart has carried Michigan on his back. There's no stat for that...

That just shows that Michigan is a worse team than Illinois... If you break down the way each running back has played on the field, Mendenhall is the better back. If you give him the 157 carries that Hart has got he would have 1,004 yards. Hart might be a better leader and means more to his team, but Mendenhall has out played him.

But USC was ranked #2, and won 35 straight at the Coliseum
Appalachia St. was awesome, but Michigan was ranked 5, and App St. were the best in whatever Div. they were in for like the past 3-4 years

i'm just saying...
plus its friggin' Stanford!
i could see why they say its the biggest upset...

Kept, just because your YPC average is currently at 6.4, doesn't mean if you got 500 more carries it'd still be that way. That's part of the reason Rashard's effective, because they keep his legs fresh for the big play

As far as I'm concerned, the RB that is the most valuable is the best. And Mike Hart is more valuable than Mendenhall. It doesn't mean that Michigan is a worse team because they're not. They played two games with Henne injured, and even in the games that they lost Hart did everything he could to get them the win. Without him, Michigan would easily be 0-6, Carr would be fired, etc.

If Fran has any chance of saving his job he needs to win today at Tech. Supposed to be gusty so should be interesting.
