He was 5th, actually.  I read an article the other day, and thought it said first.

Not sure if it's accurate.  Didn't actually do any research, but that's what I read.

Still take him over everyone you named Nola.
I want us to stay farrrrr away from McCollum though.

But everyone I named is better than him...

Not to mention he would probably be a poor fit with the Pistons because of how much he plays on the block or in the paint.

Though I do like KCP as well. Wouldn't be upset with him. Or even MCW.
Like I said before, anyone but Zeller, Len, or McCollum is fine by me.

I just favor Shabazz.

Not really lol.

Yes really.  You can't just look at it and say "oh he averaged 17.9 ppg on 44% shooting."  You have to look at where he operates offensively.  Most of his offensive production comes from three areas.  The paint, the short corner, and behind the 3 pt line in the corner.  Those are also three of the easiest shots you can take on the floor.  So he does all that, and only shoots 44%, which is very average?  It now becomes pretty bad.

Then there's the fact that he is a 6'6 small forward and only an average athlete?  So not only is he probably too small, but he isn't athletic enough to cover a lot of threes in the NBA, and appa.  Lebron, Durant, Melo, George, Gallo, Deng, Jimmy Butler, Rudy Gay.  The list goes on and on with SF's that he won't be effective guarding.  He couldn't guard college level wings, so why would he be able to guard NBA level threes?

Think about how SF's are asked to do a lot of things in the NBA.  They're asked to score, defend, distribute the ball, and so on.  Bazz had 27 assists in 30 games last season at a total of 987 minutes.  Think about that.  Like Rob said earlier when he isn't getting the ball or scoring the ball he's literally (and this isn't an exaggeration) useless.  There's also signs that point to he's not a great teammate.

And of course there's even more question marks about just his personality.  His dad is legitimately crazy, and do we know if Bazz isn't anything like his dad?  I mean this is a man who intentionally misled everyone from his coaches to recruiters to scouts about his age.

This is a great quote from a article I read the other day:

What you're left with is a great competitor who likes to win and has always been able to score, but who is also a rare combination of being smaller, older, less skilled, less trustworthy and a worse teammate than we were ever led to believe.

Honestly the only thing I knew about was the age thing, but after finding out about his dad?  It would scare the crap out of me if he's anything like him.

Oh he absolutely does.  Anyone who watched him and doesn't just read a scouting report should know that.

Like when he walked off the court pouting after his teammate won the game?  And how he reacts to not getting the ball when he wants it?  He just stops playing.  I've also read he isn't coachable.

and that type of player isnt any good on a weakminded leader-less team.

i love his talent and hed be great on a team that didnt need him to be the guy right away, okc would be an ideal type of team. a team who is lottery bound again next season, nah. but at 8 the pistons must go bpa and if hes bpa, he has to be our guy, or we trade out.

Trey Burke (6′ 1.25″ in shoes), who is considered by most to be the top point guard candidate, continues to get hammered by talent evaluators for being too slow for elite status at the next level. Burke is still likely to go in the top ten, but teams with pressing needs seem to be looking elsewhere and view Burke more as a solid backup than a franchise guard. Burke is expected to begin workouts soon and it’s possible he could sway some team’s opinions on him, but as teams really start to tear apart the draft Burke’s stock is taking a significant hit.

I don't think he'll far that far, but I can definitely see him dropping out of the top 10.  Not saying it will happen, but it wouldn't shock me.
