Got that right. I turned the game on and couldn't help myself from laughing.

San Jose defenseman Douglas Murray won’t have a chance to suit up for Hockey Day in America against the Red Wings thanks to taking a puck in the throat.

The new from CSNBayArea.com’s Kevin Kurz is that Murray will be out of action thanks to a broken Adam’s apple.

Yes, really.

Murray was hit in the throat by a puck Thursday night against Tampa Bay and was taken to the hospital for observation. If you need to take a second to wince and let that settle into your mind, go ahead, we understand.

The Sharks will look to keep their run of great play against Detroit going without their biggest and most physical defensive presence. On the upside, San Jose may be getting Jason Demers back after suffering a lower body injury on January 24. Demers gives them a bit more experience on the blue line with Murray out, but it’s not an ideal situation for the Sharks going up against a Red Wings team that hasn’t lost at home since November 3.
That must feel like shit.

The Canucks really need to get home ice advantage because the wings look fucking unstoppable at home.

Oh well it was bound to end at some point. Sucks that it had to end like that though.

Streaks over :/
Such a shit way to lose a game too lol.
Oh well, nice to see Quincey played real well tonight. Maybe that deal was better than I thought it will be.

I don't know about played real well, he had some errors like 2 or 3 penalties and a few other mistakes defensively. Good thing neither ended up in a goal I don't think. He was alright, we'll see what he does going forward.

Sucks that they gave up a goal with 16 seconds left in the third, I had a feeling after that happened they were in trouble. Would have been nice to keep the streak going but I knew it was coming to an end at some point soon, especially with Pavel being out, that hurts.

Well I actually missed the first period and a half. The commentators said he played well, so I was kinda just going off of that lol. But yeah, that was a tough loss to swallow to say the least.

I figured that lol. He didn't play horribly, he didn't play all that bad for his first game being back with Detroit, but he had 2 or 3 penalties that could have been real costly, but thankfully it wasn't. He scored a crucial goal at least so that was good.
