I wonder what the league thinks of all these stars going down with injuries? Can't be very good for boosting interest in the sport.

I read something yesterday about it on NHL.com and they are looking at it, so maybe rule changes could come into play in the near future :/

That's the only solution really. They can't continue to let their players get injured like this.

even with the rules tho people still do it which is what the sad thing is

It's the way they came though. It's hard to change how you play the game. James Harrison in the NFL is the perfect example of this.

ya thats true, and teams sometimes get players just to fight and be assholes on the ice, which comes with them injuring players like Crosby and Giroux

True, no matter how much you change the rules there will always be assholes

ya, and i dont mind them fighting cus thats entertaining as fuck, but when they go head hunting on certain players, thats no good.

I love fighting lol. But the head hunting does need to stop. I'd rather just see two players fight instead of going head hunting and possibly causing serious injury.

This suspending shit hasn't changed anything imo.

clean hits are fine cus for the most part, a lot of clean hits dont cause any injury. But dirty hits with elbows or hits from behind or when a player leaves their feet when they hit, those are where lots of injury's are.

But the NHL has made an improvement with putting Shanahan in charge of the suspensions, there has been a lot more fines and suspensions since he was hired.

But ya Snipe your right,, there are continuing to be a lot of suspensions, its just more people are getting caught, but there are still a lot of dirty shit out there
