It's way too early to call Wes Johnson a bust.
drafted 4th overall, 7.7ppg, 34%3PT, 39%FG, 24 years old. what will his role be in the future then? hes going to be classified as a bust just because he'll never have the stats to back up his 4th overall spot.

I'm just saying there's plenty of players who take a few years to get things together in the NBA, are labeled a bust, and them turn their career around. I think Wes Johnson could be alright.

They really put the word Cats on the front of their jerseys. That's amazing.

If MJ takes Barnes at 2..Stern needs to get involved..Don't let MJ kill a franchise

From Chad Ford:

Of the five players just mentioned, Drummond is, by far, the biggest wild card. While it seems unlikely that the Bobcats draft him at No. 2 (they already took a flier on Bismack Biyombo last year) he is in the mix with the Wizards at No. 3, the Cavs at No. 4, the Kings at No. 5 and the Blazers at No. 6.

However, in speaking with sources in each of those teams, they all sound skittish about drafting Drummond so high.

"The reward is there, but so is the risk," one GM told ESPN. "In this case, he’s the riskiest of the five by far and you have to be pretty confident as a GM that your owner is going to allow you to take that risk. Whoever drafts him is going to have to be patient and patience is a very rare commodity in our league." I think there are a number of scenarios where Drummond could slide out of the top six, but from what I can gather, he won’t get past the Detroit Pistons at No. 9.
I'd shit myself if he dropped to 9.

After all he's dealt with, I'm actually shocked that Rip is praying for a guy who is getting drafted so high off potential, to go to his team, rather than a guy who is a sure-thing like Henson

I've been advocating for Perry Jones for a while, and I hardly think Henson is a "sure thing."

I was referring to Drummond, but PJ3 falls in the same category.

Henson will be a 12-10 guy, which I think is great next to Monroe

I know. I'm saying I've been advocating for just a high potential guy in general.

If you want a high potential guy Perry Jones probably isn't that guy.

I think there is a fine difference between a "high potential" guy that can actually pan out and be a quality player at the least rather than a guy like Jones who may be good but probably has a better chance of just busting and not being an impact type player.

The other Jones, for example, if he can find his place in the league is a guy that I think could be VERY good but will probably atleast be a good rotational player at the least. Terrence Ross is another.
