if the thunder were to trade harden for the 2nd pick i still think they would be in a great position. any player drafted at number two could step in hardens role just fine.

Beal vs. Barnes workout in Cleveland on Saturday
With Beal being a better shooter, better at getting to the rim, better ball handler, better passer, equally as athletic, quicker, and faster, this should hopefully put Beal above Barnes on their draft board, if he isn't already above him.

Beal would be a solid replacement for Harden

Or they draft TRob/Drummond, amnesty Perk, and try to get FA SG

Could you imagine if the Thunder did the trade, took Drummond and he turned out to be Dwight Howard? Team would be even better.

smh thunder fans are saying on twitter no way they would do it. Are they dumb?? We are going to have to chose between Ibaka or Harden. I would pick Ibaka because scoring wings are easier to find.

Ibaka and Drummond would be insane if Drummond reached his potential. But hmm I hope we do this trade.

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress

Thomas Robinson will visit Charlotte June 22nd. He's the clear frontrunner to be picked #2 at this point.
Please be accurate

If OKC can get to #2 and select Thomas Robinson it would give them the big man scoring they've lacked.

and theyd be missing the scoring two guard. i could see that happeneing if they LOVE drummond or take beal.

They had two of the top 5 scorers this year, both playing the wing. So having a scoring two isn't a necessity, they'd be better off having a guy they can go to in the post on a consistent basis.

and they would still need someone to fill hardens role. you cant get away from that. trade harden, draft beal. try to nab bass with their mle? idk. honestly, this trade sounds likely and reasonable but it wont happen.

If the Thunder amnesty Perkins and trade Westbrook for Rondo, would that open up enough space to sign both Ibaka and Harden while avoiding a huge luxury tax penalty?

This idea that the Thunder can't afford to lose Harden and gain a post scorer is just so idiotic lol

Harden is like their biggest fan favorite. I don't see them WANTING to move him, though moving him would be the best idea in that scenario.

Listened to a few podcasts today, and found out something that's pretty surprising, if true of course. Andre Drummond is the first player to ever leave UCONN after only one season under Calhoun.

Jonathan Givony also had good thoughts on Drummond. Basically just said he's a athletic phenomenon, who can move like a PF on both ends and can hedge very well, but there's just so many development issues with him. He's completely raw offensively and you can tell the guys never received proper coaching on how to get into post moves, or even how to box out. He's not a good defensive rebounder (stated this exactly the other day). Talked about how he fits the UCONN center mold, raw, big, long, can block shots. Said he can't think of the last time a guy so raw, undeveloped, and lacked knowledge of the game (feel for the game) really became a very good well rounded player.

Actually they've had Beal at 7 for a while. That site sucks though.
