Papelbon is so good, definitely the best closer in baseball. No Swisher, Posada or Grandy and we put up 11 runs on the "best pitching in baseball".

Yes, I'm crying because you are extremely defensive towards anything with the Yankees, including a tradition almost every team does, and thinking that the Yankees started it..

shouldn't the best team also have the best bullpen?

I'm just wondering so I can have a complete list of the criteria that make up a "best team".

There is a huge difference between Aceves and Park.

...and the 5 CyHughes gave up?
Everyone can have one bad game. Look all of your starters for the majority of this season.

On that note...

But we're "the best pitching staff in baseball", we're supposed to pitch like that. Aren't we?

And likewise, CyHughes should be dominating night in and night out. At least that's how I see it with the way you talk about him. I guess I was just expecting more..silly me

Damn Mets face Yankees soon. Luckily the Mets suck, so no expectations for that series lol.

Look at Brett Wallace's numbers in AA
Wallace:
148AB
.311/.372/.615
.987 OPS
11HR
31RBI
38K
15BB
.721 OPS w/ RISP

Those are monster numbers. He needs to get called up and replace freakin Overbay at first.

Reds do it again, down by 2 going into the last inning and come back and win the game 5-4. They have won 4 in a row, it's good to see another Cincinnati team doing well! Tigers lost, Porcello looked terrible today and they stranded runners, again. Bases loaded with 1 out and can't score any runs.... Nice

Mets lose on a throwing error by David Wright in the 9th. Not good.

Man Marcum was on point today. If he had the run support that he had today, he would easily be 7-0 right now.
