With Boesch staying where he's at and Guillen at second I actually like the sounds of that more anyways. As long as Guillen can handle second which I'm hoping he can. Guillen brings another threat, no question about it. I didn't even think of it possibly turning out that way. So Ramon is just temporary at second base then.
Yeah I couldn't see Guillen playing 2nd either.

MLB isn't all about hitting.. Back in 2008 the Tigers were 5th in the MLB in errors, last place in the division. In 2009, 19th, and led the division most of the year. But I suppose trotting out a catcher to hit .250 with poor defense is a better idea, because you're not going to find a good hitting catcher with good defense in free agency right now..
Well obviously the options are limited right now. But if there is an opportunity to get a good hitting and defensive catcher then the Tigers need to do whatever they can to make it happen. Laird can't be a starting catcher based on purely defense for much longer.

Teams don't trade good hitting and defensive catchers... If you get one of those you hang onto them.

I'm sure that's why they are sticking with him, they don't really have any other options right now. They are just hoping he gets the bat going which is asking for a lot. I'll be happy if he stays at .150

But its weird, Indians really haven't had a bad offensive catcher for a long stretch lol. Went from Sandy Alomar Jr to Vmart to Carlos Santana. Don't really count Lou Marson since he is only up here until early July for when Santana comes up.

Best Indians game last year was when he hit his first home of the season. I couldn't stop laughing. Now I'm waiting for a Mark Grudz homer or Lou Marson. Even Matt LaPorta because he can't hit one either.

Well, Marson is hitting .200 and Laird is hitting .159 so can we have Marson for free?

We don't have anyone to trade this year to the Dodgers. Kearns probably will get dealt but the Dodgers dont need an OF.

Mets are really stinking it up right now. Have lost 4 straight and are now under .500. Stupid pitching cant come through anymore, John Maine and Oliver Perez have got to go.
