So no one talks about Strasburg like he's God anymore...

Like I said, judge him after he faces a real team. He's a great prospect but he's not an elite pitcher yet...

He should've had 0 runs in the 7th. The ground ball to Ian Desmond should've been a double play. So there's 2 outs and Chipper on 3rd. Then the next batter flies out to center. Inning over. 0 R's.

In his first start against a team with credibility*

I just love to see everyone coming down to earth =)
Atlanta was missing their best hitter.. Their lineup without Hayward is average, just like the Royals. It was an off game, and at least he's not blaming it on fake blisters.

Strasburg is heavily overrated right now and its rather annoying. Every start that he makes is under a microscope and he gets more attention than a pitcher who is having one of the best pitching seasons in the history of baseball. How does that make sense?

Who is he getting more attention than? And, it hasn't just been because he's pitching well, it was also the fact that he was striking out 10+ batters a game. That's impressive when you do it 4 straight games; regardless of who you play.

He is getting more attention than Ubaldo. He will cool down once the league adapts to him, it happens all the time. Pitchers start off well until teams have a good scouting report on the pitcher and then he has to change it up. Prisoners of the moment is whats happening right now....

I wouldn't say overrated, he's a great pitcher but its just that his hype is sky high right now, and I understand why.

I just don't think he's an elite pitcher right now

Took the night off from work to watch us smash Lee as revenge for the WS last year.

Well you hate anything not San Fran in baseball..

And like Baggs said.. striking out 10+ guys a game is incredible, regardless of opponent..

The secret is out. On May 25, the Phillies dominated the first National League balloting update with five leaders, including Polanco at third. In every weekly update since, Wright has improved. When the final NL update was announced Tuesday, the lead was down to 22,635 votes, and Wright was trending 8 percent higher.

Given the tremendous voting volume, that margin equates to a rounding error, and Wright was on pace to make the pass. Enter the rivalry. Word began spreading across social networks after the update, with Mets fans urging others to keep their "secret" quiet and Phillies fans in campaign mode. Will momentum shift? Polanco was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with inflammation in his left elbow, so fans will have to decide based on his stats to date.

Cmon Wright!!! He is soooo gonna pass Polanco, he definitely doesnt deserve it over Wright.
