Nuggets discuss Artest deal

Kings forward Ron Artest says his time in Sacramento has been as enjoyable as any he has spent in the NBA. Artest also says, though, that as he has looked around recently, he feels he won't be with the Kings much longer. "I look around our team, and I see the emerging young stars, and I don't get the sense that I'm going to be around," said Artest, who recently said he plans to opt out of his contract during the offseason. The Kings are believed to have had recent discussions with Denver regarding Artest, and could possibly be pursuing forward Nene Hilario.

if im Sacramento, i would look elsewhere because Nene is waaaaay to risky with all his injuries on top of his tumor that was removed(get well soon Nene!)

If I was the Denver Nuggets I would try and make this work. I believe this would make them a force in the Playoffs considering they need to get tougher defensively. Just think of Camby, Artest and Iverson all for defense. Not to mention Melo plays some average D. I believe you can see something like this go down... Nene is overpriced and did not deserve 10 million contract a year. Camby is fine making 10 million because he is the defensive player of the year like every year.

Ric Bucher was on ESPN radio and is saying that a deal is getting serious between the Nuggets and Kings.
