I think Mrazek would have to completely fall apart to lose the spot, but hopefully Jimmy keeps playing well and ups his trade value.

Well, if Howard would waive his NTC, I think he would fit in nicely in Los Angeles.
Kings are hurting big time for a goalie since Jonathan Quick went down, and overall, Howard would have some good defensive minded skaters in front of him over there.
 
Kings won't stay down long, but without proper goaltending, they will go nowhere fast.
 
Jimmy Howard may not be elite, but he can still be very good....certainly much better than Zatkoff, Budaj, or any other jumbled mess the Kings manage to throw in net.
 
Plus, I am sure Detroit would love to unload Howard's contract and maybe get a pick or mid level prospect in return.
