ESPN - The NFL has contacted multiple teams telling players the trash talk that surfaced this week was expected to stay off the field, according to a league source.

Comments made by players leading up to this weekend's playoff games could be taken into account in evaluating any potential disciplinary action that results from illegal hits or other banned physical acts.

There was no indication whether Ray Anderson, the NFL's executive vice president for football operations, specifically named any players in his communication with the clubs.

And the No Fun League strikes again.

This is ridiculous. The NFL needs to grow a pair and let these grown men say what they want.

The Jets are really taking this to another level...its almost becoming way too unprofessional. The Jets talk more shit than anything like I've ever seen....and what's funny is they haven't won shit. I wasn't sure it could get any uglier and more personal than a Ravens-Steelers game...but I'm totally expecting to see a lot of cheap shots, a lot of jawing after plays, and a few in-game, post-post scuffles.

The Jets are gonna take the field like a bunch of punks and the Patriots are going to tread all over them. Watch Tom Brady show Cromartie just how much of a bitch he is.

+1

They know they can do just about anything because people won't not stop watching. I know I don't agree with everything, but I never have stopped watching, and don't plan on it.
