Who do you think are some risers and fallers?

One thing is for sure, the RB's were disappointing. I'm starting to like Vontae Davis out of Illinois.

But after a somewhat slow 40 time, Malcolm Jenkins may be available for the Saints to pick.

Top-rated cornerback Malcolm Jenkins ran disappointing times in the 40-yard dashes Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine and is in danger of falling out of the draft's top 10 in April.

Jenkins, an Ohio State product, ran anywhere from a 4.55 to 4.59 on most watches in his first attempt at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis. He improved on his second 40, running a 4.52 or 4.53.

Coming into the combine, scouts were concerned about Jenkins' speed and felt he needed to run in the mid-4.4s to cement his status as the top cornerback. Some teams will now start to look at Jenkins as more of a safety since they feel he lacks top-end cornerback speed.

Not really a suprise with Jenkins. Most felt he fit better at FS than CB in the NFL. He now has jumped up to the #1 safety position in the draft.

He will likely see his stock fall though, leaving him available for the Saints which would be a dream come true.

The combine is the biggest waste of time ever. Drafting a guy because he runs fast or jumps high in shorts and a t-shirt is asinine. I don't care how fast a lineman runs a 40. I care what he does in that 7 yard box around the quarterback. I don't care how far a WR does a standing long jump. When the hell has that ever been done in an actual football game?

Go watch him play football. Watch game tape. See how he plays against other HUMANS instead of cones and tackling dummies. The combine is a joke. Does it serve some purpose? Sure. I guess. But it's not NEARLY as important as fans make it out to be. Combine results are why you get Ryan Leaf and JaMarcus Russell as #1 picks. Football performance and gametape is how you get Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

It is good to see how fast they run compared to the other top prospects. Because when they are on a College football field, not everyone is a top tier player, and their speed or jump might look a little inflated.

Do I believe that it's overrated? Oh yeah, but it is some what important.

That's true, especially the level of competition in some college games, but running in shorts doesn't translate to game speed with pads on either.

Eh, whatever. They'll keep having it and people will still make a big deal over who does or doesn't do what.
