Just a place to talk about it all.

-"The Browns could announce the hiring of defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll as early as today, a source close to the situation said Monday.

Ryan, the former defensive coordinator of the Oakland Raiders, and Daboll, former quarterbacks coach for the New York Jets, already have been in Cleveland with new coach Eric Mangini doing some preliminary work in their new roles, a source said. Daboll may have returned to New York, but Ryan is still here digging into the defense.

"An NFL source confirmed Monday that Nolan has accepted new Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels' offer to be the Broncos' defensive coordinator, and another league source said Monday night that Williams is seriously considering accepting the same job with New Orleans. Williams could join the Saints as soon as today, the source said."

Though the odds of Steve Spagnuolo remaining with the Giants improve as each job opening around the NFL gets filled, it turns out the Jets did meet with the Big Blue defensive coordinator this week. According to a source familiar with the Jets' coaching search, team owner Woody Johnson and general manager Mike Tannenbaum had a clandestine meeting with Spagnuolo on Tuesday at Johnson's Manhattan office. The second meeting was expected because Johnson was out of the country when Spagnuolo first interviewed with the Jets on Jan. 3, but Tuesday's meeting was kept hush-hush. The meeting was kept secret at the request of Spagnuolo's agent, Bob LaMonte, a source said. This seems like an odd tactic because the appearance of a lack of contact between the Jets and Spagnuolo led to speculation he was no longer a leading candidate for the job. Despite this development, Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan is still the favorite to land the job.

I would rather hire Matt Millen to run my defense...as opposed to Rob Ryan. Ryan has been a longtime problem for the Raiders, he's outdated, but he's been Al Davis' boy.

Lions are waiting to see if Brian Schottenheimer quits tomorrow, if so they say he is our #1 candidate to be the offensive coordinator.
