You guys need to use the SI slogan "Sports All Day and All Night" or something like that. That was on one of the old skins and it makes sense since the site is called Sportz Insomnia.

Don't forget about the usergroup tags...that are posted underneath avatars. Keep 'em simple...something that would match every single skin. (Admin, G-Mod, Mod, Member, GFX Crew, Cut Crew, New Member, Banned)

Also...make a nice, but not overdone, background. The banner is illmatic...back backgrounds can make or break a skin.

Just stick to close to the sizes we have now. I really wouldn't make the new post/no new post icons any bigger than they are now. And don't do the border/frame type of background that "SI Brimstone" has. It looks good on some monitors...jacked up on others. Make the background image as big as the biggest wallpaper one can download. 1600 range.

It can be whatever color best suits the skin. You can make a darker and lighter background tho...alloweing for a light and dark skin.

Hmm, I made the background fade to black on the sides so if the monitor was wider than 1400 pixels it would be a smooth transition to black.

Have you tried making the background color black AND have the bg like it is? I think that should work for the users that huge gigantic monitors haha.
