That's bullshit. They shouldn't be losing these things simply because someone is finally doing what's right. If you were born a man than you're a man and if you were born a woman than you're a woman. This whole generation needs to get over themselves and stop being pussies I don't care if something offends you, man the fuck up cupcake.dez said:Yeah Mayor McCrory has cost the city millions.. "The new law also nullified local ordinances around the state that would have expanded protections for the LGBT community.
The state has long had laws regulating workplace discrimination, use of public accommodations, minimum wage standards and other business issues. The new law – known as HB2, the Charlotte bathroom bill or, more officially, as the Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act – makes it illegal for cities to expand upon those state laws, as more than a dozen cities had done, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham.
North Carolina’s new law sets a statewide definition of classes of people who are protected against discrimination: race, religion, color, national origin, age, handicap or biological sex as designated on a person’s birth certificate. Sexual orientation – people who are gay – was never explicitly protected under state law and is not now, despite recent court decisions that legalized same-sex marriage.
Transgender people who have not taken surgical and legal steps to change the gender noted on their birth certificates have no legal right under state law to use public restrooms of the gender with which they identify. Cities and counties no longer can establish a different standard. Critics of the Charlotte ordinance cite privacy concerns and say it was “social engineering” to allow people born as biological males to enter women’s restrooms.
McCrory’s office says businesses aren’t limited by the bill, and that private companies and private universities can adopt new or keep existing nondiscrimination policies. Private businesses can establish their own practices concerning LGBT employees and customers; the new law does not allow so-called “public policy common law” complaints in state courts to challenge those practices.

It has nothing to do with being in the dark ages. Just because you feel like doing something doesn't mean you should be able to and as a father of a girl there is absolutely no way I'm letting any man go into the bathroom with her. We've already had atleast one reported case of a man pretending to identify as a woman so he could take pictures of women of all ages. Does some little girl need to be raped for you to actually start using your brain?bosoxlover12 said:smfh get out of the dark ages.
I don't care who they are or aren't into. I don't have a problem with that but Im a very firm believer in having to go into whatever bathroom is on your drivers lisense.Papa Pugzo said:except most transgenders are you know, not into females.

Not really because I highly doubt some idiot would go that far but than again in today's world you really never know but it would be a step in the right direction.Papa Pugzo said:and when their license says the sex they currently are, your argument becomes invalid.

Allowing anyone to use whatever bathroom they wish is not equal rights. The rights of those that wish to use facilities with their biological equals would be in violation and in greater number than without.CoachAF said:
The NBA pulling the ASG out of Charlotte doesn't create that open dialogue, it only further entrenches both sides to where no real change will ever happen. Again, the NBA should have used their stage to promote equal rights. They would have accomplished more that way IMO.
