I don't think I need to repeat what he did to the Americans in the biggest game of his life.. Do I?
whoa, whoa, whoa...let's not just completely disregard the complete luck it was to have the puck bounce right in front of him.

Guys like Gretzky if they had to put up with the <Censored> he does, cheap shots, late hits etc. Gretzky would have died probably on the ice.
Come on. Crosby doesn't go through nearly as much as you think he does..and definitely not more than any other top guy in the league.

Look, don't get me wrong, as much as I cannot stand the guy, he's a great player and a winner. But don't try and paint him like St. Sidney.

Agree completely with first statement.

To add on to the second statement:
Back in Gretzky's day, defensemen were allowed to, well, lets just say "Punish" much more than in today's game. Put Gretzky in todays game, sure, maybe not as good as he was. Still better than Crysby. Put Crysby in Gretzky's day, and Crysbys career is ended in his first year. That goes for a lot of players. Perron, Toews, Savard, and Booth are examples. They skate with their head's down, and they get clobbered. NOW, Savard and Booth were probably less their fault and probably more vicious from the other end, but still.

Let's not give him any credit for being in perfect position, either? Please.

You clearly don't know anything about Gretzky and his career, lol.. Back in his day, Gretzky had an EXCELLENT supporting cast around him. You give Crosby a slight for playing around good players, look at who Wayne played with, then get back to me. Secondly, Semenko would absolutely kill anybody who put a hand on Wayne. He BARELY got touched, and if he did, the refs would call it without a doubt.

Crosby gets punished after the whistle, and hacked all game... because a lot of times the refs let it go. You know full well teams try and goon him right out of games, he is just too talented and that is how they get even.

I said that? No, I said he was in the right place at the right time. If that was perfect position then it was but he's an NHL player; I assume he knows how to crash the net. Sue me because I'm not gushing over it.

I don't really see it but, still, my point was it happens to ALL talented players. Not just Crosby. If it was really a problem, with him in particular, you think the NHL would let it continue? Give me a break man. The NHL is all over his nuts. The Penguins blew a 2-goal lead, giving up 5 unanswered in the process, and were still talking about his shoving match with Matt Niskanen after the game.

The NHL feeds off it, as people want to see Crosby in pressure packed situations. Adversity sells man, they don't want some guy completely walking over the competition. Hockey is a joke for the way penalties don't become penalties in the playoffs.. That whole scheme is bull<Censored>. Crosby gets hacked and butchered in the playoffs especially, watch it this year..

Complete luck to have the puck bounce right in front of him? Iginla passed him the puck after Crosby got open and called for it..

That's my mistake, I remembered the goal incorrectly. I thought there was a shot on Miller, rather than the pass by Iginla.

I still don't buy into the idea that Crosby gets more crap than other top players. And the NHL lets people get away with it. It comes with the territory of being a superstar in any sport.
