If things keep going the way they are, it's a possibility.
If not a sign and trade could happen (though I feel like the new CBA removed those?).
Teams over the tax level can't.

I don't know what the tax level is though lol, but the Lakers and Nets will both definitely be over it for quite some time.

The Lakers aren't trading Dwight, atleast not this year.
It's like you didn't read the article. The article was talking about a trade that would have happened this season, during the season. The cap has no impact on the Nets acquiring Dwight, other than matching salaries because both teams are over it.

None of us are talking about the three team trade that could have happened before Love's injury.

You're the only one that's not talking about trading for Dwight in season. No one was talking about them getting him at any other time yet the reason you used that the Nets won't get Dwight is because of something about next season or sometime after.

I've already said the Lakers won't trade him during the season. Too many moving parts.

Especially in such a short time before the deadline.

Reread my first post.

People are seriously jumping the gun on this not resigning thing. Maybe he does want to play for Brooklyn but it takes two to tango.

And if any of yall really read the article by Rudloph and the report by O'Connor they both state that the Nets have lessened their desire to acquire Dwight this season/offseason.

dwight obviously cant work in the lakers system or with kobe(the lakers system) and he's going to be around for 2-3 more years. not many teams can take dwight and if he stays its clearly because of that one reason.

I really haven't paid much attention to the trade rumors because I can't go through this crap again, but I can see him getting traded -- just not to Brooklyn. i think they're fine without him and it'd be unwise to screw around with their roster.

Kobe has repeatedly stated he plans on retiring after next season.
