1 more thing, Russell Westbrook

he was taken so high in the draft because of potential
wow. did that pay off

I thought he'd be a really good NBA player, but holy cow. he's a freakin stud. i didnt think he'd be THIS good, and if he was to be THIS good, no way in hell I thought it'd be this quick. props to him and the Thunder
Word. Everyone talks about Durant, but Westbrook really is the guy that just makes things happen. Only two players average at least 20, 5, and 5 right now, and Westbrook is one of them. Honestly though, what does Durant do besides score? Sure he pulls down 6+ rebounds and around 7 last season, but you're talking about a 6'10 guy, he needs more than that imo. Doesn't offer much as a passer or a defender either. He's kind of like a rich man's Rashard Lewis (younger) IMO.

Westbrook is the real MVP of OKC.

Donte Greene and Jason Thompson go from getting DNP's to starters. Westphaul is the dumbest coach in the NBA, I hate this guy with a passion. NEXT

compete for the title means compete with the lakers, and the mavs can't compete with the lakers

san antonio is the only team out west i;m worried about.....and not just cause of their start.
okc is too small
portland is too banged up. they were the 1 other team that could catch lightening in a bottle and maybe beat the lakers. not anymore

utah maybe can compete, but the lakers have bounced them 3 straight years in the playoffs
with Bynum, way way too big. Al Jefferson cant guard Pau, and he surely cant guard Bynum. Same with Millsap. just too small
They can compete this year because now they have an athletic center in Chandler which they havent had in a long time. They also now have Caron and Haywood settled in their respective roles as opposed to last year when they just joined the team. And once Roddy Beaubois comes back he is going to fit in nicely as the backup PG with his spark off the bench. This is the best Mavericks team I have seen since I started liking them.

Celtics, Spurs, and Heat. All title contenders and we beat all 3 of them.

The Knicks and Nets continue to trade insults.

The two clubs will face off on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The Knicks recently released a radio ad tweaking the Nets, stating "Hey Nets. You can walk like us, you can talk like us, but you ain't never gonna be like us."

Just hours before the game, Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov responded to the radio spot.

"I don't think we want to be like the Knicks. I think we'd more like to resemble the Lakers," he said in a statement.

i think the response was better :p

Anybody thinks that a NBA game should be televised every weekday night on TNT, ESPN, and another station? We already get the NBA three nights a week, finish off the last 2!

Dallas send Beaubois to the D-league. Guess they want him to get some playing time to get ready for his NBA debut this season.

I hope Cousins keeps that behavior up. I'll start a fucking petition to send directly to Dumars to trade everything we got for him..

Ben Wallace's presence will shape his ass. The Kings have no veteran leadership.
