cant get any worse for artest

i think once bynum has a few more weeks and is back to starting, they'll be fine

lakers are a playoff team though. thats why you never see them go on long ass wing streaks like every other team. they'll go 9,10 MAX. cant judge them until like rd. 2 lol

Well they've been a regular season team as well because they have led the West in wins the last three years.

Well, the Spurs could also.. And you're not giving them enough credit. Blair isn't as tall as Pau but he is a lot tougher and could take him out of his comfort zone by playing physical. That's the only really tough match up for them. But Tony Parker vs Fisher is an even bigger mismatch.

if he can score on perkins, rasheed, and kg, he can score off blair
same for bynum, and i know blair cant keep up with odom. so pop will use bonner, but same thing. too slow and short

Because Blair is going to be covering all 3 of those guys lol. Bynum will be covered by Duncan.

i cant believe we're talking spurs/lakers though
i of course didnt see it

but, manu and parker are still injury prone. manu is also still old, and so is duncan
i have to wait and see how they're playing in april to truly gauge them

Even if he does, Duncan is still a good defender and a big body to throw at Bynum, and Bynum is becoming more limited every year.

And meanwhile during that Tony Parker could be slicing apart Derek Fisher, with Manu putting up points as well.. Although the Spurs don't really have someone to cover Kobe, the Lakers don't have someone to cover Manu. Ron isn't quick enough to do it, and I'm pretty sure the Lakers would just stick Kobe on George Hill or whoever instead of making him chase Manu. Anyway you put it, the Spurs aren't a push over team who aren't close to the Lakers.. They're a great team.

Yes, you're being a huge homer. The Lakers clearly aren't what they used to be this season. Kobe has lost nearly all of his explosiveness and he's injury prone.

The Lakers are still a great team, he isn't a homer on that.. Kobe hasn't had his explosiveness in 2 years.

kobe's averaging 26 points (3rd in nba behind durant and amare) in only 33 minutes a game

FG% is down a little, but in december he's been shooting 48%...

why are you trying to bury kobe? he's not dead yet

Anyway, even though the Knicks think they have a lock on getting Melo in free agency, they really should just open up trade talks and try to get him now.. Give up Danilo and Fields, and throw in Randolph since he never plays. Danilo wont get PT when Melo gets there, Fields, even though he is having an alright year has little potential imo.. 10/7 are good numbers but 10 points is probably going to be the norm for him in his future. The 7 rebounds are a good but cmon, the Knicks best rebounder is Amare and that isn't saying much.. Someone has to pick up the boards. Get Melo in there and build chemistry for following seasons.

they dont want randolph
they arent crazy about gallo and fields either

unless you're talking 3 team trade
this is getting interesting
i think melo really wants to be a knick, play with amare as opposed to brook lopez, that he wont sign an extension with them

denver is stuck.
teams probably dont want melo unless he signs an extension
he will with the knicks
knicks dont have what denver wants
knicks are going to be stubborn because they would likely sign him in FA and like Fields/Gallo/Wilson

Well I'm with them, I really don't like any of those 3 SFs the Knicks have. I have never liked Danilo, good shooter but he doesn't do anything else. Fields like I said should be a good role player but limited potential, Randolph is a mess right now. but they have to get something for him. They have to be praying Melo comes to them and says he'll sign an extension to go to the Nets.

While on the Knicks, Anderson Varejao would be a perfect fit for those guys, but they have nothing I would want, Randolph maybe because of his potential but he's still a mess right now. Too raw.

Varejao is perfect for any team

any team willing to overpay to get him, cleveland should do it

Yet most people still think he sucks <_< He went from being an overrated player a few years ago to one of the more underrated guys around.
