It was easy to picture the Sacramento offense next season: Tyreke Evans coming off the high Cousins pick. It's going to be brutal to stop. Evans can get into the lane with anyone, but show out hard to take that away and Cousins is rolling hard (or popping out off a flat screen).

Sacramento is going to be a lot of fun this year.

It's going to be interesting to see Reke and Cousins working on the same floor. Reke is going to establish himself again this year I really think.

That's all assuming Cousins is what's advertised. I have my doubts.

Knicks president Donnie Walsh announced today that center Timofey Mozgov has been signed as a free agent. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mozgov, 7-1, 250-pounds, averaged 7.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 18.9 minutes in 32 games with BC Khimki (Russia) during the 2009-10 season. The 23-year-old, St. Petersburg, Russia-native has played for Khimki for the last four seasons and averaged 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 23.0 minutes for the Russian National Team during the 2009 European Championships
Not the bigman I was hoping for but from the scouting reports he's athletic and runs the floor well, but sounds like he's a project.

Ive never seen him play so I dont have an opinion on him but hopefully this was a steal lol

But good thing is we have added some size with Jerome Jordan and now this Mozgov fella, but bad thing is theor both rookies hopefully we can get solid production out of them both this season.

Joe Dumars was three hours late for our meeting Wednesday in Las Vegas, which is par for the course in mid-July for an NBA dealmaker. Nothing is imminent but a few things that would qualify as the significant trade he hopes to pull off have come close. Some of those proposals remain alive, simmering while both sides see if there’s anything better on the horizon.

All along, this summer was going to be driven by free agency. There’s been a fairly amazing amount of flesh-swapping since Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James fell into Pat Riley’s lap last week, almost all of it spinoffs from those decisions – teams that didn’t land a premier free agent using their cap space to make deals, teams that lost free agents using trade exceptions gained by negotiating sign-and-trade deals for their exiting stars, teams looking to dump salary and finding partners in those teams with either cap space or trade exceptions.

The Pistons certainly don’t fall into the first two categories and aren’t eager to fall into the third. Joe D won’t rule out trading a player for some combination of cap relief or draft picks, but it’s not his first choice. If it were, he had a deal proposed to him in that three-hour window on Wednesday that would have achieved such an objective.

“Sometimes, there’s a time to be patient,” he said. “For us right now, instead of making a move just to say we made a move, I’m going to be patient and make sure whatever we do is the right move for us. If it’s not the right move, if we don’t think it’s somebody that can come in and help us or if we don’t get a trade proposal we think is really good for us, we’re going to be patient. We’re not going to do anything off the cuff just to say we made a move. It’s not going to happen.”
Just do something, jesus lol.

The Knicks are meeting with Josh Howard on Wednesday.

Howard is also considering remaining with the Wizards, but has also received interest from the Bulls and Celtics.
I thought we were outta money after the Felton/Mozgov signings.

I just knew once we lost out on LeBron and Wade we were gonna throw big money at him, Im glad we didnt, but if the market for him is slim then we should look into it.

Im sure Chicago has been in touch since their weak on the perimeter, GState is always a possibility but I havent heard/read anything.

I think he would be a piece that would help our playoff chances, then we would bolster our bench with signing him allowing us to move Dub C to the bench or we could choose to run a small lineup and put him at PF...

so many ideas running through my head lol

Shaun Livingston has agreed to a two-year guaranteed contract with the Bobcats, according to a source.

The deal is reportedly worth $7 million over the two years

NICE

I hope this is Livvy's chance to take his career to the next step, the way Auagustin played last year isnt enough to get him the starting spot, so I expect him and Livvy to compete for it.

Apparently the Cavs and Hawks might do Shaq in a S&T for Marvin?

Guess I'd be alright with that.. Marvin could do well in our new up tempo offense.

If we're going to suck this year, just bring this kid over.. He'll be exciting to watch.
