Nate Robinson would welcome a return to the Knicks next year, according to his agent, Aaron Goodwin.

"Nate's first thought would be to remain with the Bulls, but if the Knicks' opportunity presented itself, I am sure he would appreciate an opportunity to play in New York again," Goodwin said. Robinson started his career in NY had his best season as a pro during the 2008-09 season, averaging career highs of 17.2 points, 29.9 minutes and 2.6 boards on 43.7 percent shooting. The Knicks won't be bringing on J.R. Smith and Nate, so they could be picking one of the two for their sixth-man role next season. Iman Shumpert also made some strides on offense after missing 37 games last season. The Bulls will try to bring Nate back after a strong second half and playoff run, but it might take a multi-year deal to do so.

That would be an interesting fit, especially depending on what happens with J.R. Smith. I know a few Knicks fans who would be absolutely pumped about bringing Robinson back...what would you guys think?

Discuss.

Yall know I love this.

But from a line-up standpoint, with him an JR off the bench... their taking ALLLL the shots lol

Still would love Krypto-Nate back in NYK though...

Here come the Knick pessimists.....

Well not enough balls to go around with just Nate on the floor alone lol. Same with JR.

Idk, this past playoff series vs the Heat, at times Nate looked great (Im talking about taking the right shot/setting up teammates)

Showed some true PGing...

The more I think about it, the more Id love to have him back...

But main thing we need to find is a PG that plays D... Felts got demolished playing against Hill and Augustin.

He deserves a multi-year contract. He's bounced around the league a couple times but has proved he can still play

Nasty Nate would be a nice addition to the Knicks. They need a scoring punch off the bench either from another guard since Pablo and Ason Kidd is getting older. My only problem is how will Nate Robinson and JR Smith learn to coexist? Both are head cases on the court and maybe a disaster if paired together. Though, Im sure the Knicks could get him at a bargain price. Personally I think Nate could be a starting PG in this league.

I would be really interested to see if he could keep up the level of play he had this season, or if he'd come back down.  I think Thibs coached him on how to actually play the game.

I agree... For the first time you watched Nate Robinson play on both ends utilizing his speed and athleticism to make up for size on D. Tibs also showed him how to actually step back and see the floor as a PG than just run at the basket and score all the time.

I'm sure he helped nate out on defense but yall/everyone has been sleeping on his playmaking ability, he's always had that ability, its just this year was the 1st we saw it consistently.

Shit his last year with us he had begun to add that to his game, led the summer league in assists that year lol

I don't think Nate is what the Knicks need. Knicks need a legit #2 scoring option, which Nate isn't. Their PG needs to be that distributor (but needs to be athletic which is why Kidd didn't work well). They need to either find a scoring 2 or 3 (if Melo stays at the 4). Don't know who the heck that is though...

They could draft a Tim Hardaway Jr or a Glenn Rice Jr with there pick. There should be 2 quality big men in the second they can purchase from mavs, blazers or pistons. Also lookig at the D3 kid fron Long island

Unless they somehow pull off a S&T involving Amar'e I don't see how they get that legit #2 scoring option. Nate would give them some depth, which right now their only PG depth is Felton & Prigioni. I like Prigioni but idk how many minutes he can take in a full season at his age.

YES. I absolutely agree, and would be pumped if they took Hardaway Jr. Now, I don't follow NCAABB as much as I wish I did, which one of those guys is a better defender? because that's what Woodson will look for.
