You gotta get inspired by something. You obviously got some techniques down to do some good looking stuff, but right now you're doing the same things over and over again. Experiment with different stocks, different blending modes, etc. Get some fonts. Go crazy. Don't follow your own rules.

what are some good fonts to download?

You could look around for font packs, but I have no idea if there are any.
 
But sites like dafont.com are your friends.

Actually you're getting better, because you're learning what doesn't work. Like I said before, don't be afraid of making something that doesn't look good. Remember, you're not obligated to share everything you make, if that makes you feel better. Sometimes it's helpful to just make experimental things to get certain techniques down. Once you're comfortable using them then you can apply them to a piece you like.

definitely different from your other stuff, but it looks very dull and some of the lighting is overexposed. just keep experimenting and add the stuff that works to your repertoire.

there isnt one. sorry, I should have mentioned them some of the fonts are in vector format.
