Well, I know that there was no sure-fire way to measure HRs back then. Mantle's bomb at Briggs Stadium (Detroit) is rumored to have traveled an estimated 643 feet, but that is usually discounted by most historians. The next highest is also Mantle, at 565. I'm not sure what # you're looking for.
